Dog Training Services in and around the Greater Montreal Area

All classes are geared towards teaching YOU how to train your dog. Whether it be a basic puppy kindergarden class or an advanced off leash class our goal is to show you how to get your dog's attention through the use of motivational techniques. Classes are offered both at our location or in the comfort of your home.
Whether it be training a dog not to pull on leash, how to find objects using scent, how to roll over or even to stay under distraction for long periods of time- the use of FOOD and TOYS as rewards are the mainstay of our methods.

IN HOME CONSULTATIONS: In home consultations are offered to provide you with the convenience of having a professional dog trainer come to your home.  Certain cases are also better dealt with in the dog's own environment.  If the weather is bad or you do not have transportation or feel the car ride is too stressful for your dog we can go to you. Sometimes it may also be easier to get the whole family together at home when it comes to choosing a time for your classes. Obedience, behavioural issues as well as puppy manners can all be dealt with in home. 

PUPPY KINDERGARDEN :
Kindergarden classes for puppies are designed to get you and your pup started on the right foot. Therefore, we recommend that you call ahead to schedule a first class for your puppy's arrival at home. Housebreaking, jumping, biting, barking, manners, environment, basic hygiene and how to get your dog's attention are all discussed. The whole family is welcome to participate.

IN-KENNEL / BOARDING TRAINING : In-kennel training is provided for those who would rather we train your dog at our location or for people traveling who would like to have their dog trained while they are boarded with us. During your dog's stay in our clean, country environment they will receive daily training. All obedience leveles are offered including personal and family protection. Call to discuss pricing and options based on your needs.

OBEDIENCE: Level I: 8 Private-1 hour sessions Level 1 obedience is for any dog who has not taken part in obedience classes before, regardless of age. The majority of the exercises are ON-LEASH. The exercises which are covered are Heeling on-leash, sit, down, stay, come & place.

OBEDIENCE: level II : 8 Private-1 hour sessions Level 2 obedience is for dogs who already have a good overall knowledge of the basic obedience exercises. Level 2 covers the same exercises as level 1 but OFF-LEASH. Obedience classes are structured to give you a strong understanding of the training techniques necessary to achieve your goals within an eight week period. Often there is enough time in eight one hour sessions to work on more than the basic obedience exercises. Classes are set up in a way to provide you with an good overall understanding of your dog and how to get his or her attention.

PERSONAL AND COMMERCIAL PROTECTION - All levels of Protection clases are offered and can be combined with obedience classes. protection is NOT about making your dog aggressive. Protection is a very precise exercise just like obedience. A dog that has been taught to protect is safer than a dog that decides to protect on their own. Protection classes are offered only to dogs who have a level of obedience which is deemed at a high enough level. Protection applications- Commercial property or home protection, crowd control, personal protection, vehicular protection etc...

COMPETITION / SPORT (advanced) For individuals who would like to bring their dogs to next level we also offer private training for competition in CD, CDX titles, French ring, Mondio ring & schutzhund.
Most dog sports include jumps, object retrievals, obediencs as well as some protection work. Dog sports are a great way to exercise your dog both mentally and physically. The bond that can be created with your dog through regular training and exercise is something quite incredible. For more information about dog sports in general please feel free to contact us.

AGILITY GROUP CLASSES: 8-1 hour sessions Agility is comparable to an obstacle course for dogs. Agility is a great way to exercise your dog while at the same time learning how to guide your dog through a number of jumps, tunnels, cat-walks and other obstacles. Agility classes are open to all dogs regardless of obedience level. Agility classes are always the source of many laughs and lot of fun for all.
